John Jamian, Executive Director

Mr. John Jamian is the Executive Director of the Detroit/Wayne County Port Authority. In this current position, he oversees the Detroit/Wayne County Port Authority and the recently completed construction of its $15 million port and passenger terminal building, along with its $7.1 million offshore wharf in the Detroit River.

W. Steven Olinek, Deputy Director

W. Steven Olinek is a transportation and trade development professional with more than 35 years of management experience in the marketing of commodity transport. He is the deputy director of the Detroit/Wayne County Port Authority (DWCPA), where he has worked for the past 22 years.

Christopher Johnson, Chief of Staff

Christopher is responsible for the management of day-to-day operations at the Port Authority.  He heads DWCPA's development finance program which offers local business competitive financing options for their capital investments.  He also oversees the Port's grant programs focused on port security and brownfield redevelopment.
