NEW PUBLIC DOCK RENDERING RELEASED

Public Dock & Terminal Project

The DWCPA is in the process of constructing a brand new, state-of-the-art, Public Dock & Terminal that will be located in between the General Motors World Headquarters at the Renaissance Center, and Hart Plaza. The facility is being developed through $7.5 million in federal appropriations, secured by U.S. Senator Carl Levin, in order to increase public access and vitality along the downtown Detroit riverfront. Additionally, the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality is contributing $3 million through a Clean Michigan Initiative, Waterfront Redevelopment Grant. The project is expected to be complete in 2006.
